Manuscript Submission
The manuscripts should represent the original work of the authors that has not been previously published in a refereed journal and is not under consideration for publication in another journal. By submitting the manuscript, the authors are taking public responsibility for the legality and originality of the work. As part of the submission process, authors give the statement that they are submitting their original work, which is not being considered for publication elsewhere, that they have all the copyrights, i.e., that they have obtained all necessary permissions for reproduction of any copyright works not owned by them. By submitting to the Journal, the authors are taking public responsibility for the legality and originality of the manuscript.
ORCID
We suggest that all authors/co-authors should have an account with Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) at the time of publication. ORCID registration provides a unique and persistent digital identifier for the account that enables accurate attribution and improves the discoverability of published papers, ensuring that the correct author receives the correct credit for their paper.
Types of papers
The journal “Advanced Technologies” accepts the following types of articles:
- Original scientific papers (up to 20 pages)
- Short (preliminary) communications (up to 10 pages)
- Professional papers (up to 6 pages)
- Review articles (up to 30 pages)
The journal is published both online and in print. Two issues (in June and December) are published annually. Once accepted, manuscripts will usually be published in the Journal online and in print within six months.
Inadequately or incorrectly prepared manuscripts may be delayed or even rejected. Authors must therefore conform closely to the Instructions for authors.
Review process
All manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal “Advanced Technologies” must go through a quality control system before publication. They are initially reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and/or his associates. At this stage, a manuscript may be rejected without peer review if it is felt that it is not of sufficient novelty and importance to the science or irrelevant to the journal. This fast rejection process means that authors are given a quick decision and do not need to wait for the review process.
All manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal “Advanced Technologies” are first evaluated on technical aspects, and revision may be requested from the authors before the review process. Only the manuscript satisfying the minimum criteria is reviewed. Manuscript previously rejected by the Journal will not be reconsidered by the Editors and will therefore be rejected without review. Authors must strictly follow the Instructions for Authors. Additionally, the Journal ensures compliance by using plagiarism detection software. The Editorial Board will then organize the peer-review process performed by independent experts and collect at least two review reports per manuscript. Editors will make the final decision regarding manuscript status. Manuscripts may be sent back to the authors for revision if necessary. Revised manuscript submissions should be made as soon as possible (within 21 days) after receiving the referees’ comments. Accepted articles are copy-edited and English-edited. Please note: any Editor’s decision is final.
Manuscript revision
Revised manuscripts must include the following items:
- Responses to comments that include numbered point-by-point responses to the comments made by the reviewers, Editor-in-Chief, and Editorial Office are labeled ‘Comment’ and ‘Response’ for each item.
- Marked manuscript in which underlined formatting should be applied for any text that was not part of the original manuscript but has now been added. For any text that was part of the original manuscript but has now been deleted, strikethrough formatting should be applied. Changes made to Figures and Tables should be visible and/or explained.
Proofs
Proofs in PDF format will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author. The author may list the corrections by quoting line numbers or by marking them and emailed back to the journal. This proof should only be used for checking the typesetting, editing, completeness and correctness of the text, tables, and figures. Significant changes to the article as accepted for publication will not be considered at this stage. Proofs must be corrected and returned to the publisher within 48 hours of receipt.
All papers are proofread in English.
SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
Authors should submit their manuscripts online via the Journal’s online submission system (How to submit a paper/Submission of Manuscript).
Submission of a manuscript implies that:
- it has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis),
- it is not under consideration for publication in some other journals, and
- it will not be published somewhere in the same form without the publisher’s written consent.
Authors are required to confirm that:
- the manuscript is entirely originally written,
- author’s previously published, as well as someone else’s data and/or text, are appropriately cited or quoted,
- permission has been obtained for the use of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Web),
- the manuscript has been read and approved by all listed authors,
- all co-authors have approved the order of authors listed in the manuscript,
- the corresponding author is responsible for communication with the other authors about all parts of the publishing process and progress; submissions of revisions and final approval of proofs ,
- authors declare that there is no conflict of interest,
- all authors have given consent for the manuscript to be published and, if accepted for publication, will not be published elsewhere in the same form or in any other language and
- the submitted paper is ethically and professionally correct in every other sense regarding the publishing process.
Changes to authorship
Authorship can be changed only before a manuscript is accepted for publication. The corresponding author must send to the Editor a request to add or remove an author or to rearrange the author names, which must include:
- the reason the name should be added or removed, or the author names rearranged and
- written confirmation (email, letter) from all authors (including the author being added or removed) that they agree with the addition, removal, or rearrangement.
If a request is incomplete, the manuscript will be suspended until authorship has been agreed upon.
Potential referees
All papers will be peer-reviewed. Authors are asked to submit full contact details (including e-mail address) for three potential referees. The final choice of referees will remain entirely with Editor.
The Use of AI Technologies in Scientific Writing
This policy addresses the use of AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process and emphasizes that authors are ultimately responsible and accountable for the contents of their work. The use of these technologies should be limited to improving readability and language and not used to replace key researcher tasks such as producing scientific insights, analyzing and interpreting data, or drawing scientific conclusions. Authors must disclose the use of these technologies in their manuscript and should not list them as authors or co-authors, as authorship implies responsibilities and tasks that can only be attributed to and performed by humans. Finally, authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work, and compliance with third-party rights, and should familiarize themselves with the Ethics in Publishing policy.
